Music to Drill To

"Developed in 1959 and introduced in 1960, the Audiac was touted in newspapers as 'Sound That Kills Pain.' The device consisted of headphones attached to a proprietary box delivering stereophonic music alongside a 'masking sound' (white noise, for instance), in which the patient controlled the levels of the two simultaneous audio streams. 'Music to drill to,' quipped Popular Science, noting that 'audio-analgesia [had] now replaced anesthetics'" (Stephenson, 2017). While the original Audiac had unpredictable results, "Music to Drill To" provides a new solution to your pains. Feel the worries of the twenty-first century drift away while DJ Biff plays collections of whatever she prescribes.
