There are well over 100 "entries" in Studs Terkel's 1974 book, "Working, People Talk About What They Do All Day and How They Feel About What They Do". Mr. Terkel specialized in recording oral histories of folks who shared with him whatever it was he asked them to share about. Time restraints allowed me to only read five of the accounts in this book last week. Because each entry is akin to a unique story, I've decided to continue reading from the book this morning. If time allows, we'll hear from a utility worker at an automobile plant, a police officer, a doorman, a janitor and a telephone solicitor and find out how they feel about the work they do...
