Perhaps at least a dozen or so years ago, I stopped watching TV - the commercials were maddening - for the most part, it seemed to be a distraction as opposed to an attraction. For whatever the reason, I'll start this edition of TBA by playing a number of theme songs associated with a number of TV shows. I won't divulge the hame of these shows at this time. I've always had an affinity for radio shows from years gone by - this time around, we'll listen to an episode of Gunsmoke entitled "The Cabin". It was first aired on December 27th, 1952 on the Columbia Broadcasting System network. Next - a top ten listi will be comprised of jokes found in a book entitled "The Everything Big Book of Jokes". The jokes will be prefaced by the top ten reasons why everyone needs to laugh more often. The show will then migrate to the completely unrelated topic of the role cattle play in contributing to the current period of climate change (global warming). Details will emerge as I elaborate on this topic. Please keep in mind that I have nothing against cows - they seem quite innocent - however, the gigantic bulls tend to make me feel rather uneasy. Then - the show will veer to a somwhat comlex examination focusing on the interaction of climate change/ subsequent migration associated with this change and how it (potentially) might lead to further inequality among those who are sometimes erroneously labeled as "disabled".
