I paid a visit to see my dad recently - he's 94 years old and began collecting dime paperbacks back in 1940. He gave me a number of them to keep. A few of them seemed like good material for the show - "Ripley's Believe It or Not", The Book Of Knowledge", The Blue Book of Dogs" and "First Aid For the Injured". These liitle books were published between 1937 and 1941. Did you know that Robert Ripley was more popular than President Franklin D. Roosevelt? Next - Edgar Allen Poe will make a guest appearance - in the form of one of his most famous short storys,  "The Pit and the Pendulum". The story was adapted to radio on a September 8th, 1943 episode of the popular radio show "Suspense". I'll play that episode. Then, the abominable stew thick air pollution clinging to the skies over Bangledesh will be covered followed by veering in the opposition direction - narrowing in on countries with the cleanest air. Speaking of air pollution, the next topic is aimed at the harmless appearing cow - yet, the 1.5 billion cows that chew grass from one end of the world to the other and the subsequent release of MASSiVE amounts of flatulance from their posteriors will be uncovered - to drive this point home - I'll expose the listening audience to a cow butt bomb gaseous explosion lasting upwards of 30 seconds in length. Fortunately, you won't be able to smell it as radio generates sounds -not smells.
