The Front Porch Blues Show

Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this evening bringing you a program of blues and bluesy R&B and jazz recordings from the year of 1946. Featured artists will range from recent Chicago emigres from the Miss. Delta like Muddy Waters to urban big band veterans like Dinah Washington and T-Bone Walker. A boogie recording by blues shouter Wynonie Harris includes the first piano waxing by Herman 'Sonny' Blount (later to become known as Sun Ra).
