Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this evening. The program will feature blues and bluesy R&B recordings from the year 1949. Included artists will range from those whose careers started before World War II like Blind Willie McTell, Memphis Minnie, and Big Bill Broonzy to bluesmen of the newly electrified Chicago blues like Muddy Waters, Eddie Boyd, and Robert Nighthawk, to jazz-influenced urban performers ranging from Big Joe Turner and Chubby Newsome to Dinah Washington and T-Bone Walker.
