- How about the OTHER guys from the classic blues era? Everybody knows the Mount Rushmore heads of the blues, Muddy, Wolf, B.B., Freddie, Albert - how about some stuff from the OTHER guys? Dig!
- How about blues guys doing jazz? Jazz guys doing blues? Songs in 9/8 that shouldn't work at all but swing like bastards? Harmonica players doing tenor sax moves? Dig!
- How about blues from places you wouldn't expect? Denmark? got it. Finland? No problem. Australia? Sure. Ireland? No problem. Dig!
...but I'm gonna kick off with Muddy Waters. Because... well, it's Muddy. Nobody has ever NEEDED a reason to listen to Muddy Waters.
