The Front Porch Blues Show
JD Esquire
Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this evening. Since it's been a couple years since I put together a review of blues recordings from the year 1960, and I've acquired some new reissues, this will be the focus of the program. Featured blues artists will include Chicagoans like Eddie Boyd, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Junior Wells and Howlin' Wolf, as well as bayou blues from Lightnin' Slim, Katie Webster, and Slim Harpo, plus an instrumental set. A jazz-blues set will include Jimmy Witherspoon, Dinah Washington, and Esther Phillips.
