The Front Porch Blues Show

Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this evening in the first edition FPBS for Winter Quarter 2017. The program will take new look at blues recordings released in the year 1962, following up on 2016 shows in January and September that focused on blues and bluesy R&B from 1962. Tonight will feature as many as 18 blues/R&B artists active in 1962 that were not included in the prior shows. These include such prominent figures as Otis Rush, Albert King, Big Mama Thornton, Sam Cooke, and Linda Hopkins dueting with Jackie Wilson, as well as more obscure performers including Betty James, Larry Birdsong, Willie Mays, Jesse Anderson, and Marie Adams.
