Rich Blackmarr will be your host on the Front Porch Blues Show this evening. The program will focus on blues and bluesy R&B recordings released in the year 1955. Two years ago we surveyed blues from the first half of 1955 in two FPBS segments. Tonight's return to blues from 1955 will look at releases from July, August, and September of that year. Featured artists will include Lightning Slim, Muddy Waters, Little Willie John, Ruth Brown, Jimmy McCracklin, the Five Royales, Rollee McGill, Etta James, Willie Dixon, Smokey Hogg, Jimmy Reed, Sonny Boy Williamson, Varetta Dillard, Earl King, Eddie Boyd, Floyd Dixon, T-Bone Walker, and many more.
