Returning to New Day Jazz this afternoon in the 5 o'clock hour, Frank B. Wilderson, Jr., author of Incognegro: A Memoir of Exile and Apartheid, winner of the American Book Award 2008, as well as Red, White & Black: Cinema and the Structure of U.S. Antagonisms. Later this same week, Thursday, March 19, Mr. Wilderson will be on the campus of the University of California, Davis, delivering a talk on Black Liberation and the Paradox of Political Engagement. This talk, co-presented by Black Student Union (BSU), Critical Anti-Colonial Studies, Faces of African Muslims (FAM), and Islamic Third World Coalition, is free and open to the public, 5 p.m., Andrews Conference Room (Room #2203 Social Science & Humanities Building).
