The Front Porch Blues Show
JD Esquire & Rich Blackmarr & TJ
Rich Blackmarr is your host this evening on the Front Porch Blues Show, which will feature blues recordings recorded and/or released in the year 1964. King, Percy Mayfield, Lowell Fulson, Etta James, Bo Diddley, and many more. R&B charting tunes from Don Covay (with Jimi Hendrix's guitar), Irma Thomas, and Solomon Burke that were covered by the early Rolling Stones will form part of one set of songs. A unique Little Richard song with violin and guitar backing from Don Sugarcane Harris and Jimi Hendrix will also feature, as will Tommy Tucker's original 'Hi-Heel Sneakers' and Sugar Pie DeSanto's reply. Andy don't overlook older-type stylings from Rev. Gary Davis, Fred McDowell, Robert Nighthawk, Victoria Spivey, and Johnny Young.
