The Front Porch Blues Show

Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this evening. Following up on his July 13th FPBS broadcast that surveyed blues recordings from the year 1939, tonight's show will focus on blues recordings from the year 1940. Featured artists will include Jazz Gillum, the Five Breezes with a young Willie Dixon, John Lee 'Sonny Boy' Williamson, Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Lee McCoy (later Nighthawk), Big Joe Turner, Merline Johnson, Memhis Minnie, Peetie Wheatstraw, Champion Jack Dupree, Georgia White, and many more.
