The Front Porch Blues Show

Rich Blackmarr is hosting the Front Porch Blues Show this evening. The focus of the program will be a retrospective of blues recordings released in the year 1961. It will include songs recorded by famous artists including Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Bobby 'Blue' Bland, and 'Big Mama' Thornton, as well as fine efforts by older or less well known figures including Alberta Hunter, Smokey Smothers, Christine Kittrell, Mighty Joe Young, Roscoe Shelton, and Katie Webster. A follow-up look at more blues from 1961 will be on the FPBS calendar in November.
