Rich Blackmarr will be substituting for Richard Estes today. Richard said it would be okay in his stead for Rich to do a promo hour for the Front Porch Blues Show, which airs Sunday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 PM. Rich plans to air tracks primarily from blues reissue CDs he has recently acquired. So look for the hour's blues tunes to be about evenly divided between 1957-58 and 1961-62 vintage recordings. Featured artists will include the Ike Turner band with Little Ann (the future Tina Turner in her first recording with Ike in 1958), one of the first tunes that Albert Collins cut, also in 1958, and Betty LaVette's first splash on Atlantic Records in 1962.
