The Front Porch Blues Show
JD Esquire & Rich Blackmarr & TJ
Tonight the Front Porch Blues Show will be hosted by Rich Blackmarr. Following up on his theme from last week, tonight's program will continue Rich's survey of blues recordings released in the year 1967. It will include many records by artists that were not included in the June 8th Front Porch broadcast. Featured will be 1967 releases from bluesmen Fred McDowell, Louisiana Red, Clarence Smith, Lonnie Brooks, Juke Boy Bonner, Houston Stackhouse, Hound Dog Taylor, and Billy Boy Arnold, as well as bluesy recordings from deep soul singers Toussaint McCall, Betty Harris, James Carr, Erma Franklin, Irma Thomas, and Solomon Burke. Returning from last week's show for an encore performance will be Lowell Fulson, Buddy Guy, Percy Mayfield, Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Albert King, Slim Harpo, and Little Johnny Taylor.
