Happy Friday!  On today's Smiles Show, we'll look at the current state of the retail sector.  Is it as "bad" as many say it is ("the retail apocalypse!"), or are there "glimmers of hope" out there?  I'll look at multiple perspectives, and also talk about the benefits of shopping locally, which can help support the local economy, while reducing the carbon footprint.   Whether you love or hate to shop, today's show will give you some food for thought.  I'll also run down the list of community activities over the next week, as well as ways to commemorate Dr Martin Luther King Jr's birthday on Monday January 20th.
