Black makeup... rosaries... teased hair... winklepickers... fishnets... leather everything... Bauhaus t-shirt... it's the goth show! Today I'll be mainly playing music with a dark edge to it. Goth is an essential subgenre of the post-punk umbrella that peaked during the 1980s and is still alive an well today. Some of this playlist is your classic 80s goth post-punk fare, and some of it is music revered by the goth subculture that may not adhere to the goth lifestyle themselves. Some of it just has that kind of dark, moody sound to it. It took every fiber of my being not to play another Sisters of Mercy track... (I'll save it for another show!)
