The Front Porch Blues Show

Rich Blackmarr will host the Front Porch Blues Show this week. The first hour will present sixteen candidates culled from a 3-CD collection called The First Rock And Roll Record. Needless to say, the ones to be played on this program will all be blues. They will range from Trixie Smith's My Man Rocks Me (1922) and Sonny Boy Williamson's New Early In The Morning (1940) to Erline Harris's Rock And Roll Blues (1949). The second hour will feature blues and bluesy R&B from the year 1961 including such artists as Jump Jackson, Etta James, Freddie Robinson, Albert King, Miss LaVell, Earl Hooker, Irma Thomas, Bobby Bland, and Ace Holder.
