Joe Frank Jewish Blues WBAI and NPR Playhouse Joe and friends take live phone calls on the air between midnight and 5:00 am. They discuss aggressive women, and a repeat caller assumes various guises. In another segment, Joe interviews an old Jewish blues singer who explains the origin of the Jewish blues, tries to get singing jobs at different clubs and coffee houses, visits his only son who announces his conversion to Christianity; and is finally confronted by cynical drunk Christians.
Joe Frank Arena WBAI and NPR Playhouse We hear Joe alternately discussing his own writing process and typing at a keyboard. His story describes a romance between an American woman and a bullfighter. The narrative alternates with acted scenes and sound effects. Every scene degenerates into references to bull fighting. The couple swims naked in the sea, encounter a whale... Music: Miles Davis, “Solea” from ” Sketches of Spain”
