Rich Blackmarr hosts the Front Porch Blues Show this evening, which will review blues records released in the second quarter of the year 1951. Many blues artists not heard in a prior 2015 show (looking at the first quarter of 1951) will be featured including Floyd Dixon, Lil Greenwood, Walter Davis, Helen Humes, Jackie Brenston, Calvin Boze, Annisteen Allen, Jimmy Rogers, Honey Brown, Billy Wright, Chubby Newsome, Elmore Nixon, Gatemouth Brown, Violet Hall, Stick McGhee, Billie Holiday, and Memphis Slim. Those with encore performances range from Eddie Cleanhead Vinson and Little Esther to Lightnin' Hopkins and Pee Wee Crayton.
