FEVER DREAM XXII: The Genetic Banquet
A small pod of dolphins erupts with an issue of air bubbles from a small mechanical vent on the surface of a massive complex built along the ocean floor. These are no ordinary creatures, however. Behind their eyes is a human sentience imbued by the test subjects who now pilot their actions. As they move further into the light of the blue pacific expanse, they began to feel different. It is as if the ocean is beginning to reveal the complex patterns that only wild organisms can detect. In time, they will disappear from contact, lost in the configurations and design of life itself, shifting in the endless blue water.
