Local artist G2 has a wonderful new cd out of home recorded songs he has written in this past 3 to 4 years.
I was initially engaged in "Indie" music because I viewed the style as something I could conceivably create myself. With this idea in mind, I will be exploring the "Indie" genre this week, playing many home recordings, non-chalant melodies....products of garage bliss. What is "Indie" music exactly? Is it a reaction to vulnerability, confusion, track homes, strip malls, love, gadgets, beer....? You'll be hearing my perception of the sound, style, and culture of "Indie".
