Removal of "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" from National Currency

This last Tuesday Michael Newdow, a Sacramento resident, argued at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to have the words "under god" and "in god we trust" removed from government endorsement. His cases, previously thrown out of the Supreme Court on the grounds of standing, have proved controversial not only within the religious community but also among atheists. Hear what he's doing differently this time around, how he prepared for the cases, and whether this fight is beneficial to atheists.

The first half of the show is an interview of Davis resident and electrical engineer Mark Chang. His experience in robotics and the projects he has undertaken are discussed.

The second half of the show is an interview of San Francisco journalist, Craig Bloise. Hear his socialist perspective on homelessness and the economy, as well as the interconnectedness of racism, classism, sexism and ageism.
