The one thing they don't tell you about being a detective is that sometimes your work follows you home. You head downstairs for a midnight snack one night, and begin to wonder why you woke up in the first place. Was there a sound of glass breaking, locks being picked? Is it your curse to live in constant fear, or are your sharp senses alerting you to a real danger? Around the corner, the microwave switches on. You have just been given your answer.
