It's crunch vs melodic, loud vs subtle, mullet vs poofy hair, whiskey vs coke, Charvels vs neon glow (guitars), and studded leather vs Spandex. There were stages with backlines of Marshalls. Nothing exceded like excess! There were one song wonders. There was schmaltz. There was glitz. It was the decade that epitomized the term "sex, drugs and Rock n' Roll. So, in the words of the great Al Bundy, "let's Rock".
