Cactus Corners

Ed

Christine subs for Ed this week.

Christine and Ed will both be on air at this time next Saturday for our annual fundraiser show. It'll be your chance to support all the great music you hear on Staff Paper Project and Cactus Corners as well as your freeform community radio station, KDVS. Be sure to tune in then and support KDVS.

First LSD trip: On this date in 1943 Swiss chemist Albert Hoffman intentionally ingested what he calculated to be a threshold dose of lysergic acid diethylamide to test its recently discovered psychedelic effects.

Hoffman bicycled home with a colleague when the dose proved to be dramatically higher than threshold level. The anniversary has been observed as Bicycle Day since 1985.
