FEVER DREAM XX: STEAMWORLDS, INC. 

On biting winter eves, kids from town go up to the power plant out at the plateau for fun. They crawl under the ancient chain link fence perimeter that has long since stopped being policed, and bask in the deep golden luminescence of the factory lights. The glow seems to fill them with a warm feeling throughout, and from old stories they know that if they wandered much closer, the atmosphere might kill them. From afar, they see the strange, incredibly swift figures of those beings that work at the plant, hired hands from offworld, completing impossible tasks in the obscuring steam.
