KDVS-Recordings is doing some new/good stuff you should know about!
We finally have our new website up and running where you can buy all of our releases. The store is going to be shared w/ regular KDVS stuff, so soon, you will be able buy KDVS tshirts, etc here too. The site is recordings.kdvs.org and is also linked in a few places on the KDVS home page. Checkitout and tell your friends/family/otherdudes about it!
We also just put out a cassette release for Placerville artist ALAK called GRØUPS. It's a pretty incredible tape of experimental folk-influenced pop type stuff marking our 9th release total (and our first one on cassette). We are really excited about it! You can pick one up now on the new site!
There are a couple of other new projects in the works too including a cd compilation of local hip-hop artists, a cd compilation of local folk artists (both tobereleased in September), and a CassetteOfTheMonth subscription club (also starting in September and lasting the entire year). Keep your eyes/ears open for these projects/keep your eyes on your computer for more updates @ recordings.kdvs.org /keep your cool/etc.
