California 2010 Gubernatorial Debate: Round 1 Aftermath

Plenty of SPOILERS here so don't read until you've seen/heard the first debate.

KDVS was plagued with technical difficulties during the live broadcast, but is rebroadcasting Thursday, September 30th night 6pm-7pm.  If you missed it then check it out!

This is my aftermath analysis of the Round 1 California 2010 Gubernatorial Debate between foes Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman.

Warped Tour aka The Big Ticket Rip-off

Yes, you know this and I know this, but just in case you are new to this I'll let you know the skinny.

Background first:  I never went to the Warped Tour when it started because (1) I didn't believe I should support Vans because they moved their operations overseas.  Yes, that was a long time ago, but so was when Warped Tour started.  (2) I didn't like the idea of mainstream bands seen as some sort of good representation of music from an alternative side of things.  I was offered free tickets to go to Warped Tour twice over the years and I turned down the offers.

The DollarTree.Com Rip Off

This is a warning to everyone out there that thinks DollarTree.Com is a good way to go (I found it much better to just go to the physical store instead).

Yes, I try to mainly talk about music, but on our show we also talk about things going on in our lives and the greater political social structure we live in.

What The Hell Is Going On With All These All Ages Venues Closing????

Listening to music is great, but seeing a band play live is the best.  Even videos of live bands playing aren't as great as being at an actual live show.  People always complain that youth have nothing to do.  Youth complain that they have nothing to do.  Then stop making it sooo hard to keep an all ages venue open.
