2012 Davis Music Festival This Saturday

Mark you calendar, the 2nd annual Davis Music Festival is fast approaching.

From noon to midnight, Saturday June 23rd, the festival takes place across 8 venues and features 46 artists. Advance tickets are $20, available at Armadillo Music, 205 F St, Davis and http://www.davismusicfest.com, or $25 at the door.

The Davis Music Festival is organized by the non-profit organization Music Only Makes Sense, whose purpose is to raise funds for the benefit of our local elementary, middle and high school arts, music and performing arts programs.

Last years debut festival was a great success, but this year ups the ante. An estimated 1,000 people will attend and put Davis on the map as a music festival destination.

Concert goers will obtain a wristband that gives them access to every venue; The Armadillo Music Outdoor Stage, G St Wunderbar, Delta of Venus, Little Prague, Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, Luigi’s, and Odd Fellows Lodge (Upper & Lower Halls).

A wide array of music genres are featured including folk, bluegrass, electronic, rock and metal.

O:RMF is KDVS's chillest funnest thing of the year, completely non-profit, our very own staple festival. We don't get any of this money, all the funds from ticket sales go directly to bands and the venue. It's awesome and really fun and hilarious and in the beautiful subtown of Plainfield between Davis and Woodland. We will have shuttles and bike runs back and forth from the venue to Davis all day. They have bomb-ass food and helluv beer (and they even sell cigarettes) and it's just really the most feel-good time ever.

Bikes leave at 1pm // 430pm from Delta of Venus (122 B St.)
Shuttle Times TBA
