Hey there KDVS'ers!

This is Shiva here from the Events Department here to update you on some things we'll be doing in this year that i am very enthusiastic about..

As some of you know, we do a lot of our  KDVS Presents shows at a venue called The Hub, and with the Events Department sponsoring The Hub, we would love to put up a banner.. WIth your help, we are going to be making this happen! 
So we are doing a KDVS BANNER CONTEST:The design must have KDVS. Freeform Radio. 90.3 FM, KDVS.ORG and Davis, CA on it.... Anyone can do this.. Tell your friends and whoever wins, gets FREE admission to the hub for 12 shows of your choice.. and your banner will be up!!

UPDATE: KDVS is holding its New Volunteer Meetings on Wed. Janurary 12th at 7:30pm and Thur. Janurary 13th at 8:00pm in Wellman 119.

KDVS is holding its new Volunteer Meetings in Wellman 119 at 7:00pm on Thursday, Jan 6th and 8:00pm on Monday, Jan 10th.

Come to find out about how to volunteer at KDVS in our numerous departments and learn how to be a DJ.

Our affiliates, Free Speech Radio News (broadcasted every weekday at 4:30pm to 5:00pm) are in financial trouble. We encourage you to reach out to a fellow non-profit independent media outlet and consider taking action to help keep them on the air.

Please goto http://fsrn.org/crisis for more information. FSRN will close on December 20th without help.

Free Speech Radio news produces a daily, half hour news broadcast produced and reported by independent journalists from around the world dedicated to providing a bullhorn to those without the commercial means to broadcast their issues.

Still looking for a way to get to O:RMF?

 

You're in luck!
 
We have bike rides leaving from Delta of Venus (122 B street) at 1pm and the Davis Food Co-Op at 6pm.
 
We also have carpools leaving from the MU at 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm.
 
Need to leave early? No sweat! (You will regret it) We have rides leaving from Plainfield Station at 4:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm (whenever we're done packing up).
 
The carpools are a great chance to meet some of the DJs and Volunteers of KDVS and also a great way of getting to O:RMF. See you there!
