Davis

LAKE (Oly), Nacho Business, Yea-Ming (Dreamdate, Solo Set), Skrill Meadow

The Robot Rocket Residence (633 M) is proud to announce another great house show with some rad bands from Olympia and the Bay! Due to the touring acts there will be a $5 cover (which is way less than you'd pay to see these awesome acts in the Bay)

****there's four bands on the bill, making for extra-awesomeness, but also means that we really need to start on time! show up at 8:30 and you'll get to see all the bands!*****

LAKE (Olympia): One of my favorite indie-pop bands of the past decade, they were scheduled to play a much bigger and hipper venue in Sac. They got bitten by the house show bug and that's good news for all us Davis fans! LAKE can best be described as Fleetwood Mac meets Olympia- so naturally, lots of handclaps, tambourines and male-female harmonies.

Nacho Buisness (Sac)
last minute add to the bill! Nacho Buisness, Sacto's local twee legends are venturing out of Sac and ready to fill yr ears will happy twee fantasticalness. They're perennial KDVS' faves!

San Francesca, Killdevil, Groove Heroes

It's spring and the Robot Rocket Residence's spring show schedule is in full swing. The last two shows were pretty folk-y but you better be ready to rock out tomorrow!

San Francesca (SF)
is kicking off their California tour here in Davis, so let's start their tour off right, with a killer house show! They remind me of So Cow with their off kilter rock but with more electronics. One of the more interesting new indie pop/rock bands out of San Francisco!

Killdevil (Sac)
The RRR is proud to bring one of Sacto's bands out across the causeway. It's nice to see some new faces around the backyard. They straddle the line between post hardcore and 90s indie rock, guaranteed to get your hair flying.

The Groove Heroes (Davis)
providing some local support. Simply put, rock'n'roll with good vibes and some funky soul.

O:RMF is KDVS's chillest funnest thing of the year, completely non-profit, our very own staple festival. We don't get any of this money, all the funds from ticket sales go directly to bands and the venue. It's awesome and really fun and hilarious and in the beautiful subtown of Plainfield between Davis and Woodland. We will have shuttles and bike runs back and forth from the venue to Davis all day. They have bomb-ass food and helluv beer (and they even sell cigarettes) and it's just really the most feel-good time ever.

Bikes leave at 1pm // 430pm from Delta of Venus (122 B St.)
Shuttle Times TBA

Camp Wisdom & Sunshine and Irony

Take a break from studying for finals with some relaxing folk bands from Olympia! Two folk rock bands that would normally play at Sophia's in a warm living room... Finals will still be there in the morning, but these bands won't!

No need to hype these bands, their music speaks for itself...

Super last minute show! The crazy Davis show-a-night week continues to grow! Nobunny @ Villanova on Monday, Coasting @ Robot Residence on Tues, Electric Jellyfish @ the bike collective on friday...

IJI from Seattle is touring the west coast in support of their new album Yerself! Davis welcomes him back after playing at the robot residence last summer. Think happy weird pop jams.

Joining IJI on tour is none other than Filardo, hailing from Portland. 90s style, Lou-Barlow influenced indie rock/pop. Sure to get the most hardened grouch dancing!

Oh Foot has just been added to the bill last minute! Two piece folk harmonies with lots of fun toys! As far as I know, it's their first show since their new album mythos came out!
