LISA Instructions

To get to KDVS, take 80 towards Davis. Merge onto 113 North towards Woodland and exit at Russell Blvd. Make a right onto Russell and head east for about a mile. You will see UC Davis on your right. Make a right onto Howard Way, into the UCD Campus. You will pass a parking structure on your left. Pull up to the curb by the Information Booth, making sure not to block any busses. If there isn't anyone to greet you, you can call the KDVS lobby at (530)752-0728. Someone should answer and come upstairs to meet you. KDVS is located in 14 Lower Freeborn, in the basement of the building to the right of you as you stand looking south from the information booth. Treat this live performance just as you would any other live performance. Bring any amps, cables, special microphones, or whatever you need to do a live show. We have microphones, mic stands, and an engineer. Most bands play for the full hour. You are free to talk to your audience, tell them about shows, tell clean jokes, introduce band members, etc. Please remember that while it is alright if your lyrics contain swear words, it is never ok to swear while you're just talking on the air. The show starts at 11PM. Bands are asked to arrive at around 9PM to unload equipment, set up, and do a sound check. If you would like a recording of the show, bring a cassette, DAT, minidisc, or vinyl lathe and blank record, and we'll give it back at the end.
